A few details
beverage curation
The Cocktail party is where all the fun begins. I always accompany cocktails with lovely hors d’oeurves. I always recommend one signature drink that is pre-mixed and ready to pour.
How we solved it
How to Set up a Bar
Use real glasses for cocktails. Martini glasses for drinks served “straight up”. Wine glasses should be used for serving wine, Highball glasses are best for mixed drinks that require several ingredients.
Cocktails
A cocktail is a mixed drink made with a distilled liquor (such gin, rum, tequila, vodka, or whiskey) as its base ingredient then mixed with other ingredients (such soda, sour mix tonic) and sweetened liqueurs.
Liqueurs
A strong, sweet alcoholic liquor, usually drunk after a meal. My favorites are Limoncello, Campari, Amaretto, Sambuca, St Germaine Elderflower, Irish Mist, Cointreau, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kahlua and B&B.
Wines
Wine has been around for centuries. It takes years to perfect, and every bottle has a story to tell. Wine comes in five categories:
- White Wine…
- Red Wine…
- Rose Wine
- Dessert
- Sparkling Wine.
Aperitif
An aperitif is a refreshing drink that is served before a meal to stimulate the appetite. Aperitifs are, essentially, “before-dinner drinks”. They may be served to mingling guests before a dinner party. A liquid appetizer.
